Following Two Wins and a Save, Caroline Alger Named Softball Pitcher of the Week by C2C
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Christopher Newport University sophomore pitcher Caroline Alger was honored on Tuesday. Alger, from Staunton, Va., was selected the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference’s Pitcher of the Week. Alger pitched in three of four CNU games last week, and earned two victories and a save as CNU went 4-0 for the week. Alger allowed just two runs in 12.2 innings pitched, giving up seven hits and striking out nine while walking three.
