Rockwall, TX. – The Western New Mexico University men's golf team finished up the opening day of the 2026 Lone Star Conference Championship in Rockwall, Texas and ended in 12th of 12 teams. The Mustangs had an opening two rounds of 331-309 (+64) to begin the 54 hole event at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club. Jacob Alcorta (Silver City/Silver HS) led the way for the Mustangs with a 36-hole total of (+8) to finish the day in tied 24th.
