Matthews Tabbed as Randolph-Macon’s First Ever Men’s AVCA All-American
LEXINGTON, Ky. – After wrapping up his record-breaking season in NCAA play, junior Bryce Matthews (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill) is representing Randolph-Macon, as he was listed as an All-American on the AVCA Second Team. Matthews posted career-highs this year in points (377.5), kills (314), hitting percentage (.306), digs (159), blocks (65), service aces (24) and assists (13). His points mark, as well as his 4.19 points per set, ranks second in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Additionally, his kills total and 3.49 kills per set both slot him second in the ODAC.
