IN MEMORIAM: Buffalo State Athletics Mourns The Loss of James 鈥淛im鈥� Jabir
Buffalo State and Buffalo State Athletics are saddened by the loss of former women’s basketball coach James “Jim” Jabir. Jabir was a decorated collegiate women’s basketball coach for over 30 years, winning over 500 games at the Division I level. However, Jabir’s coaching career started here at Buffalo State University, where he began as an assistant coach to Buffalo State Hall of Famer and former women’s basketball head coach, Dr. Gail F. Maloney, in 1985-86, helping Maloney to their third SUNYAC Tournament win and third-straight appearance in the NCAA Division. III East Regional. Dr. Maloney took the next season off…
