Kim English reverses course on North Carolina assistant coaching role, per report
After Kim English was fired as head coach of Providence after three seasons, he reportedly accepted a job as an assistant coach on Mike Malone鈥檚 initial staff at North Carolina. It looks as if he won鈥檛 be headed to Chapel Hill after all. According to ESPN鈥檚 Pete Thamel on Sunday, English has instead 鈥渄ecided not to pursue an assistant coach position鈥 with the Tar Heels. English was 48-52 at Providence, including a 23-37 mark in Big East play. After a 21-14 record and an NIT berth in 2024-25, the Friars won a combined 27 games over the next two seasons....
