Cardinals Close Out Season with Road Victory Over Castleton
CASTLETON, VT. 鈥� The Plattsburgh State women’s tennis team closed out its 2025鈥�26 season with a strong road performance, defeating Vermont State University Castleton, 6鈥�1, in its season finale. The Cardinals opened the match by taking two of three doubles contests to gain early control. The No. 1 pairing of Jacklin Mitchell (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Peru) and Ava Carey (Nanuet, N.Y./Nanuet) battled to a 7鈥�6 win, while Ava Perry (Plattsburgh, N/ Plattsburgh) and Carmen Marino (Buchanan, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) secured a 6鈥�1 victory at No. 2 doubles.
