Early Deficit Too Much to Overcome for Lander in 8-5 Loss
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – A resilient rally wasn’t enough for Lander on Friday evening, as the Bearcats fell 8-5 to Georgia College in the opening game of a three-game Peach Belt Conference series. Despite an early six-run deficit, Lander (26-14, 12-7 PBC) battled back and trimmed the margin to one, but Georgia College (24-15, 12-7 PBC) added insurance in the fifth inning and held on.
