Ropietski Wins Medalist Honors as Mountain Cats Take Third at Spadafora Invitational
INDIANA, Pa. 鈥� Eli Ropietski fired an even-par 142 to claim medalist honors and lift the Pitt-Johnstown men's golf team to a third place finish at the Cecil C. Spadafora IUP Invitational on Tuesday and Wednesday at Indiana Country Club. The junior shot a 2-under 70 in the first round and an even-par 72 to edge West Chester's Yamato Kimura by one stroke. It marked Ropietski's second-ever outright individual title after he won at the PSAC Men's Golf Championships last October at Iron Valley Golf Club.
