Gillum and Johnson Lead the Lions at ESU Collegiate Relays
EMPORIA, Kan. 鈥� Briar Gillum and Keilee Johnson led Missouri Southern track & field at the 2026 Emporia State Collegiate Relays Thursday at Francis G. Welch Stadium. Gillum took first in the women's discus with a mark of 45.55m while Johnson topped the podium in women's javelin, posting a personal-best throw of 52.16m. Both were NCAA qualifying marks. Johnson now ranks second all-time in MSSU program history for the javelin throw. She also now has the top distance for the event in 2026 in NCAA Division II.
