Vazquez Achieves 3-Under Par, Shah Leads as Texas Southern Men鈥檚 Golf Ties for 2nd at SWAC Championship
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama 鈥� The Texas Southern University Men’s Golf Team climbed up the leaderboard to be tied in second place with their two-day total of 590 (302 鈥� 289) at the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championship on Tuesday. Sophomore, Yashal Shah is the clubhouse leader following his even-par-72 second round for a two-under 142 (70 鈥� 72) total. Shah carded a two-under-par opening round of 70 and his second round included his second eagle of the tournament, nine pars, and five bogeys. Shah has a one stroke lead over the entire field.
