Shaira Rivera Earns GSC Player of the Week Honor
LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Women's Tennis' Shaira Rivera was named the GSC Player of the Week on Wednesday. Rivera led UWA to a 2-1 week, with wins coming over Christian Brothers and Valdosta State. The senior put together a combined 5-0 record on the week, going 3-0 in doubles and 2-0 in singles play. Against No. 7 Mississippi College, Rivera defeated Emily Buchanan/Ann Cabot Stockett in doubles, 6-3 with her partner, Alexa Milliam.
