Shah Posts 2-Under Opening Round, Men鈥檚 Golf In 5th After Day 1 Of SWAC Championship
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama 鈥� The Texas Southern University Men's Golf Team is in 5th place after posting a 13-over-par day one total of 301 at the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championship. Sophomore, Yashal Shah carded a two-under-par opening round of 70 and is tied in 3rd place individually. Shah's opening round included an eagle on the par 5 12th hole, three birdies, 11 pars and three bogeys. Senior Ravepon Kosalutta posted a four-over-par round of 76 while, sophomore Ricardo Pham was one stroke back on 77 and freshman Javier Vazquez posted a 78.
