Queens Women鈥檚 Basketball Awaka Lands on All-Met First Team for Second Straight Year
NEW YORK 鈥� On Wednesday, April 15, the Met Basketball Writers Association announced that Queens College junior forward Nkiru Awaka (Hyde Park, N.Y.) earned All-Met Division II First Team honors. The recognition marks Awaka's second consecutive First Team selection, adding to her East Coast Conference First Team honors this season. Starting in 27 games, Awaka delivered a career year, averaging 15.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.3 steals, 1.6 blocks, and 1.1 assists per game.
