BATON ROUGE, La. – Southern University's Laila Clark has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Co-Newcomer of the Week after powering the Lady Jaguars to a three-game sweep of Arkansas–Pine Bluff, the league announced Wednesday. Clark paced Southern with a .625 batting average in the series, the fourth-best mark in the conference for the week.
