CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced the men's track and field athletes of the week on Wednesday afternoon naming Ricardo Montes de Oca from High Point University as the Field Athlete of the Week. Montes de Oca broke four records with a clearance of 5.70m to win the Men's Pole Vault Invite event. The sophomore shattered the Big South record, Venezuelan record, program record, and meet record with his jump of nearly 19 feet.
