Baseball Comets Top Vandalia
The Greenville Comets baseball team avenged a loss earlier this season to Vandalia, by beating the Vandals Tuesday afternoon at Greenville. The Comets improved their South Central Conference record to 2-0 with a 12-1 five-inning victory. Drake Curry was the winning pitcher, tossing all five frames and striking out five. On offense, he totaled three hits and three RBI鈥檚. Rowdy Sussenbach posted two hits, including a home run, and also drove in three runs. Dayton Oliver had a two-hit game and one RBI.
