Austerman Named SWAC Hitter of the Week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University junior infielder/outfielder Kali Austerman was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Softball Hitter of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon. Austerman helped Alabama A&M go 3-2 over the week, including a sweep of Mississippi Valley State. She batted .500, going 8-of-16 at the plate, with two extra base hits (home run and double). She drove in eight and scored six times, while going 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts.
