TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Northeastern State's Reese Shirey is one of 15 women's basketball student-athletes to earn the MIAA Academic Excellence Award, the conference announced Tuesday as part of its winter sports honor roll. A sophomore, Shirey carries a 4.0 grade point average in marketing. She was previously named to the honor in summer 2025 and is the first Northeastern State women's basketball student-athlete to earn the accolade twice. She was also named to the MIAA Honor Roll along with Deyanna Douglas , Gracy Shieldnight , Gabrielle Tilley and Snowda Watie , all of whom earned their second academic recognition. To...
