Seven Saxons Named as NCR Scholastic Athletes
ALFRED, NY -- The Alfred University men's rugby team had seven members named as Fall 2025 scholastic athletes by the National Collegiate Rugby league and the Lake Effect Rugby Conference. The seven Saxons named included seniors Eddie Hart IV (Wilton, NY/Saratoga Springs) and Ehab AlQtam (Malah, Yemen/Newcomb Central) . Two juniors were named as scholastic athletes, Nathan Towne (Ellenville, NY/Ellenville Jr/Sr) and Ayomideji Israel-Akinbo (Makhanda, Eastern Cape, South Africa/St. Andrews College) . The lone sophomore on the squad was Chevon Adriaans (Paramaribo, Suriname/SGS) .
