Schwitzenberg Named ACC Defensive Player Of The Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. 鈥� For the second time this season, Nate Schwitzenberg has earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. Schwitzenberg and the Fighting Irish turned in a defensive masterclass, holding No. 1 UNC to a season-low five goals in Saturday鈥檚 10-5 win between the nation鈥檚 top-two ranked teams. Just two of the five goals scored by the Tar Heels came in settled six-on-six possessions. The junior held Tar Heel Dom Pietramala to just one goal, which came in an extra-man opportunity.
