Sarena Biria Takes Down WashU to Earn UAA Athlete of the Week Honors
CHICAGO — University of Chicago junior Sarena Biria was named the University Athletic Association Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week, as announced by the association office on Monday afternoon. Biria took down Eliana Hanna of WashU in the deciding match at #1 singles to help lead the Maroons to a 4-3 upset victory over #2 WashU. Hanna was ranked as the #1 player in the Central Region and the #8 overall player in NCAA Division III coming into the match.
