Roberson has promoted assistant Rusty Ward to replace retiring Billy Phillips as boys basketball coach, athletic director Kevin Keen said. Ward has over 20 years of coaching experience at East Henderson, West Henderson and Roberson. He has served on Phillips' staff since 2020, coaching the defense and helping the Rams win three conference titles and one conference tournament title. Ward, who graduated from North Henderson in 1995, will be the fifth head basketball coach at Roberson.
