Redhawks octathlon team claims first state championship
April 14, 2026 Sarah Wiseman Hosting the statewide octathlon event on Saturday, the Redhawks team earned the state championship with 1st Place in Texas Team Overall, 1st Place Region III Team Overall, and 1st Place Region III Team Super Quiz. The Redhawks octathlon team, a training ground for the school鈥檚 academic decathlon team, are state champions after Saturday鈥檚 statewide competition on campus featuring freshmen and sophomores. 鈥淒uring the awards ceremony they all cheered and celebrated; brought the kids closer, fun to see, fun to win.
