Lynchburg, Va. — The University of Lynchburg baseball team tied its longest win streak since at least 1991 with 17 consecutive victories after defeating Methodist, 15-1, in seven innings on Tuesday afternoon at James C. Fox Field. The No. 2/2 Hornets (25-3-1) got on the board against the Monarchs (15-18) in the first inning, capitalizing on early baserunners.
