Marlins Fall to NCWU Despite Strong Effort in Doubles
Virginia Wesleyan men’s tennis battled throughout the afternoon but ultimately fell 7-0 to North Carlina Wesleyan. In doubles play, the Marlins found success at the No. 3 position. Frieso ter Schiphorst and Veikko Sivonen teamed up for a strong outing, earning a 6-4 victory and providing Virginia Wesleyan with its lone win of the day. At No. 1 doubles, Ayaan Choudhary and Jed Platts faced a tough pairing and fell 6-2, while Sebastien Muller and Hovo Madanyan also dropped a 6-2 decision at the No. 2 spot.
