Johannesdottir Named American Track Athlete of the Week
IRVING 鈥� Rice sophomore Julia Johannesdottir was named the American Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. Johannesdottir continued to impress this outdoor season, setting a personal best in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.13s. Her time currently ranks first in the American, fifth in the NCAA West Region and 17th in the NCAA. Rice splits between meets at UH and in California this weekend.
