Izzy Pezdek And Natalia Sawyer Named Bengal Athletes Of The Week
BUFFALO, NY 鈥� Izzy Pezdek (Lancaster, NY/Grand Island) of the Buffalo State softball team and Natalia Sawyer (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) of the Buffalo State outdoor track & field team have been named Bengal Athletes of the Week, presented by UBMD Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Pezdek, a junior psychology major, had a dominate week on the mound going 2-0 with 13 strikeouts, no walks, and just two hits allowed. After three shutout innings against Hilbert, Pezdek returned to action on Saturday against Fredonia where she was nearly perfect as she took a perfect game into the seventh inning.
