Horton Named NSIC Track Athlete of the Week After Record-Setting Performance
By: Clint Neumann BURNSVILLE, Minn. – University of Sioux Falls senior sprinter Tamia Horton has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Horton earned the honor following a standout performance at the Minnesota State Open, where she delivered one of the top sprint performances in NCAA Division II this season. The Maplewood, Minnesota native won the 100-meter dash with a program- and meet-record time of 11.41, a mark that currently ranks fifth in Division II.
