McDaniels won the discus event at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday, recording a personal best throw of 47.82 meters (156 feet, 11 inches). The mark cleared the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA championships. She now ranks 14th in Division II and has the second best distance in the CCAA.
