Gregory, Flores Earn Big West Weekly Honors After Standout Performances
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State's Ryan Gregory and Tristyn Flores earned Big West Men's Field and Track Athlete of the Week honors, respectively, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. Gregory, a senior from Owatonna, Minnesota, claimed the field honor after a standout showing in the decathlon at the Bryan Clay Multis. Entering day two in sixth place, Gregory surged to finish third overall with 7,810 points, the second-best total in program history behind his own school record of 7,898.
