鈥楨aters Sweep Big West Women鈥檚 Track & Field Weekly Awards
IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine swept the Big West Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards as freshman Joy Anderson and graduate student Aoife Hernon were both recognized by the conference Tuesday afternoon. Hernon was named the Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 400m in a school-record 54.05 at the Challenge Cup in Fullerton. Hernon topped UCI's 35-year-old standard of 54.32 that was held by Shelly Tochluk. She now owns the top 400m times in both outdoor and indoor program history.
