Brown is NWC heptathlon runner-up
NEWBURG, Ore. 鈥� Emily Brown finished as the runner-up in the heptathlon and three Whitworth men scored in the decathlon at the 2026 Northwest Conference Combined Events championships meet on Monday and Tuesday at George Fox University. Brown posted the meet’s best marks in four of the seven events for a season-best score of 4,483 points, only 103 points behind GFU’s Makaylah Johnon who won with a 4,586.Brown’s score is just off the career-best 4,495 she had at the 2025 NWC Combined Events meet, where she took third place.
