CHICAGO – DePaul track and field's Alex Bernstein has been named BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week following a historic performance at the South Florida Invitational, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. Bernstein, a graduate student, delivered a program-record mark of 70.62m in the hammer throw to win the event in Tampa, becoming the first Blue Demon to surpass the 70m barrier.
