Baseball Comets Down Mater Dei
Sparked by an outstanding pitching performance from Christian Swalley, the Greenville Comets varsity baseball team defeated Mater Dei 4-0 on Monday. Swalley pitched a complete game shutout on his home mound. Drake Curry banged out two hits for the winning team. Rowdy Sussenbach, Dayton Oliver and Trey Melton were credited with RBIs. Comets with one hit included Drake Graber, Sussenbach, Oliver, Melton, Dominic Sanchez and Gage Glynn. Sussenbach made in several good plays defensively at shortstop.
