Baseball: Baseball Comes Up Short in Offensive Showing
MAGNOLIA, Ark. --- Mississippi College baseball produced a strong offensive showing, but a big early surge by Southern Arkansas proved too much to overcome in an 18-11 setback Tuesday, Apr. 14 at Walker Stadium in a game that featured 29 combined runs. The Choctaws (24-19) battled, highlighted by a six-run sixth inning that cut into the deficit. Alex Johnson delivered the biggest swing of the night with a grand slam as part of a five-RBI performance, while Ty Murphy added two RBI and multiple hits.
