Turner Earns SoCon Pitcher of the Week Honors
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Samford softball team is coming off a weekend where it hosted Western Carolina for a three-game series. The Bulldogs had two outstanding pitching performances from Makinley Turner , which earned her Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week honors when the conference office released their awards this afternoon. Turner appeared for the first time this week in game one of the series against the Catamounts. She threw four innings in relief, allowing no runs, two hits, and striking out two WCU batters.
