Report: Fire acquire ex-Canadian high schooler Serah Williams in trade
Serah Williams won鈥檛 be staying in Connecticut to begin her professional career after all. The Connecticut Sun selected the UConn Huskies forward in the third round (33rd overall) of the WNBA Draft on Monday, but she wasn鈥檛 a member of the state鈥檚 pro team for long. The expansion Portland Fire acquired Williams in a draft-night trade, sending Taylor Bigby and a 2027 third-round pick to Connecticut, ESPN鈥檚 Kendra Andrews reported.
