One massive trade: What a difference it made

Twenty years ago this past Sunday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders completed a blockbuster trade from which the team derives enduring benefits. Then-GM Roy Shivers acquired two future Grey Cup-winning quarterbacks — Kerry Joseph and Darian Durant — in one deal on April 12, 2006. Success on the field, spearheaded in so many ways by Joseph and Durant, was the catalyst for franchise-record profits and, ultimately, a new stadium.
