McKinney Collects NEWMAC Softball Athlete of the Week Accolades
Marlboro, MA --- WPI softball's Virginia McKinney (Larchmont, NY) has been selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Softball Athlete of the Week for the week ending on April 12th. Joining McKinney was Smith's Violet Peverly , who was tabbed as the conference's Pitcher of the Week. McKinney paced the Engineers' offense during a 5-1 week, batting .522 (12-for-23) with nine runs scored, eight RBI, and four stolen bases.
