Mariani Named NEWMAC Athlete of the Week
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. 鈥� Clark University baseball senior Dom Mariani was named NEWMAC Baseball Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday. This is Mariani’s first NEWMAC weekly accolade and is the second Cougar this year to earn the honor as senior Michael Soares also was named Athlete of the Week. Mariani (Walpole, Mass.) delivered a dominant offensive performance for the Cougars, hitting .600 with a 1.120 slugging percentage and .630 on-base percentage across five games.
