Closs Named MWC Pitcher of the Week for Second Straight Week
GRINNELL, Iowa 鈥� Illinois College’s Jordan Closs has been named the Midwest Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league announced today. This is the second consecutive week and the seventh time in her IC career that Closs has earned the league’s weekly honor. A senior from Niantic, Ill., Closs pitched 10 innings of scoreless ball in her two starts last weekend. On Saturday in Beloit, she worked the first three innings of the game, did not allow a hit or a run, and had five strikeouts.
