Boddie and Rodriguez Shine on Day 1 of SWAC Championship
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Samuel Boddie carded a 2-under par 70 and Vicente Rodriguez shot a 1-under par 71 to pace the Alabama A&M University men’s golf team during Monday’s opening round of the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men’s Golf Championship at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley. Boddie. who is tied for second with Texas Southern’s Yashal Shah, is just one shot back of leader Jonathan Baumann (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) after the first round.
