Baseball’s Phillips Named SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week
BIRMINGHAM – University of South Carolina baseball junior righthanded pitcher Amp Phillips has been named the Southeastern Conference’s Co-Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon (Monday, April 13). Phillips had his best start as a Gamecock in Friday night’s 1-0 win over Missouri. Phillips went eight-plus innings, allowing just five hits (three that were infield singles) with no runs, one walk and a season-high 10 strikeouts.
