Akins named Co-CCIW Pitcher of the Week
NAPERVILLE 鈥� The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon. Carthage’s Michael Ossenfort was named Hitter of the Week, while Augustana’s Blake Nettleton and Millikin’s Caleb Akins shared Co-Pitcher of the Week honors following the week’s performances. Hitter: Michael Ossenfort, Carthage Ossenfort, a freshman shortstop from Sioux Falls, S.D., helped lead Carthage offensively by batting .600 (12-for-20) with 11 runs scored, nine RBI and a 1.400 slugging percentage.
