Wiklander Leads After Opening Round of Conference Championship
SPARTANBURG, S.C. 鈥� Ella Wiklander put together a strong opening round to set the pace on the opening day of the Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship Sunday at The Carolina Country Club. Wiklander was the only golfer under par, shooting a 1-under 71 to lead by one shot over Erskine's Lina Lindqvist and North Greenville's Kate Matthews after the first 18 holes. She made five birdies on the round to help Belmont Abbey finish in second place after the first 18 holes.
