Sophia Raymond Breaks School Record in the Hammer Throw
The Hope College women’s track and field team delivered a record-breaking performance and multiple top-eight finishes at the Al Owens Classic, hosted by Grand Valley State University, on Saturday. Senior Sophia Raymond of Woodstock, Ill. (Woodstock), broke her own school record in the hammer throw, winning the event with a mark of 47.79 meters (156 feet, 9 inches).
