Softball Hosts Annual All for Alex Game, Falls to Gators
COLUMBIA, S.C. 鈥� The South Carolina softball team (23-19, 3-11) hosted the SEC鈥檚 annual All for Alex game Saturday (Apr. 11) against No. 6 Florida (39-5, 13-4), but the Gamecocks fell to the Gators 15-2 in five innings. The All for Alex event honors and recognizes Alex Wilcox, a member of the 2018 Mississippi State team. She inspired the nation with her courageous fight against ovarian cancer, but one that ultimately took her life in the summer of 2018.
