Softball Falls Twice to No. 2 Trine in Home Opener
A tale of two games unfolded for the Hope College softball team’s home opener on Saturday against Trine University. The Thunder took game one, 8-1, before the Flying Dutch pushed the NFCA No. 2 ranked team to the edge before losing, 2-1. Hope moved to 19鈥�7 overall and 2鈥�2 in MIAA play, while Trine stood at 19鈥�1 overall (4-0 MIAA). The losses snapped the Flying Dutch’s 14-game winning streak, the third-longest in program history.
