MULUGETA, RAMSAY LEAD SPARTANS ON RECORD-SETTING DAY

LANGLEY, B.C. – Yemane Mulugeta broke an 11-year-old Spartans record in the 1500m and made the A qualifying standard for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and Rui Ramsay set TWU’s 100m record to help lead the Spartans during the Battle of Sparta on a day when 11 school records were set or equaled Saturday at McLeod Athletic Park. Mulugeta ran 3:47.62 to eclipse the previous 1500m record of 3:48.12, which was set by Declan White June 5, 2015 in Langley.
