Lobell Carries No-Hitter into Seventh as Lions Take Series Finale
HAMMOND, La. 鈥� Blake Lobell carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning Sunday as the Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 5-4, in Southland Conference action at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. A native of Holden, Louisiana, Lobell retired 18 consecutive batters following a first-inning error on his way to tossing the Lions’ first complete game of the season. Southeastern (23-14, 12-6 SLC) has won 10 of its last 12 games and currently sits in second place in the conference standings, one game back of Northwestern State (14-7 SLC).
